Superb Lyrics, Superb Music, Superb Voice :-)

Those of you who know Bengali will love this song.

Even if you don't know Bengali, you'll love this song if you love the music and the richness of Kishore's voice.

As they say, music transcends all boundaries and sometimes even if we don't understand the lyrics because it is in a different language, but if the music is good, it wins our hearts :-)

The more I listen to him, the more I miss him.

His melodious voice attracts me and so I keep listening to him.

That's all my sharing for now.

See you again next time with some other song, some other pic or perhaps some other saying as I love quotes :-)

Take Care,

Have you heard this song...?!

It's got superb lyrics by Anand Bakshi and superb music by Alokesh Lahiri also known as Bappi Lahiri.

Kishore sings this song as if he's singing only for you :-)

Hope you like it as much as I do.

And have you read this book?

The Wellness Sense by Om Swami

I gifted this to my children this year.

It's available on Amazon and has got good reviews.

I chose it from this list of English books by Indian authors.

That's all my sharing for now.

High and Low

Hope you had an enjoyable day on Valentine's Day :-)

To celebrate Valentine's with my family, I went to Thorpe Bay.

We stayed there for a couple of days. One day was sunny and the other day was cloudy as if nature was balancing itself out on the scales of equilibrium, playing with us the game of opposites just like the high and low tides of the sea.

This was high tide on Thorpe Bay.

And here's how it looked at low tide on that cloudy day.

We stayed at a beach hotel in a sea-view room with a balcony on Thorpe esplanade.

We would love to go there again and already looking forward to our next visit whenever that can be :-)

Now here's a very nice love song for you. Hope you cherish it as much as I do.

And here's another enjoyable song by the same singer.

Kitne Phool :-)

Strobes

Strobes
And flashing
Lights don't do
Us any good

They affect
Our eyes,
Giving us
Headaches

Instead of
Enhancing
The dancer's
Performances
They impede the
Show, fading the
Performer's glow
Adding to the
Audience's woe

If the dance is good
Let it happen with
Minimal lighting, good
Enough for the dancer
Not to trip and fall,
To see the stage,
And enthrall us all....

And we can enjoy
His performances without
Having to squirm our eyes
To avoid the glaring lights
Of strobes and flashes that
Do no good to the dancer
And his audiences

If the dance is outstanding
Let the dancer glow in his
Exquisite pirouettes
Instead of ending up
Being a mere shadow
In the excessive lights
That flood the stage,
Consuming needless
Energy and sapping
Our energy, adversely
Affecting our minds
And eyes, limiting our
Vision and enjoyment
Of this artistic creation
That we choose to see
As a way of recreation

Let aesthetics prevail
And subtleties too....
And let the organisers
Know that in any
Stage-show, talent
Should shine....
Instead of strobe lights
And flashes that make us
Whinge and whine :-(

(wrote this after my eyes were aching on seeing a TV show that featured good, talented dancers; however much I wanted to watch the show, the strobes and flashes were really annoying me and I've decided not to watch any future episodes of this show)

One

One day
You realise
The work
You do
The job
You do
The money
You earn
The fame
You earn
Is all worthless
If you can't spend
Time with your
Loved one....

Red

You may
Think it is
Red wine
The drink
That I have
When I dine
But it's not
My dear....

It is
Beetroot
Juice
Which is
As hearty
And healthy
As carrot juice

Both these
Drinks make
Me feel fine and
So I have them
When I lunch and
Dine....

They can be
Had on their own
Or if you like
You can mix
The juices of
Beetroot and carrot
And that will also
Give you a nice,
Nutritious drink....

So you may try yours
As I have tried mine :)
And see if you like this
Drink divine with its
Natural colours of
Orange and red....
Carrot is orange
Beetroot is red....

Vitamins and minerals
Going in those guzzles
Nutrients nourishing
You, as you take those
Swigs....making you
Alert and active to play
In life's gigs and jigs :-)

(wrote this poesy after my son surprisingly asked me if I was having red wine as he knows I don't take alcohol and I said No, it was beetroot juice. He got confused by its deep red colour which looked like wine)

Soul

When
Your
Soul
Gets
Killed
You
Don't
Feel
Alive

In this
World
Of
Make-Believe
Where
People
Contrive
And then
Deprive
You
Struggle
To
Survive
No matter
How much
You strive

With no
Hope to
Revive
You lose
Your drive
And keep off
The hive --
And let them
Jive, lest they
Connive with
Their convive

In despair
You dive
And make
Way for
Others
To thrive

Then after
Your death
You are
Somehow
Kept alive
As your life
Is chosen by
Wiki to archive

Close

As the day
Draws to a close
I realise....
My thoughts about you
Are always open, they
Never close

No wonder,
I always find you
So close....
This closeness
Makes me happy
Whenever I'm
Morose

If you are
The thorn
I'm the rose
Protecting me
By staying close

As long as I live
You'll be always
With me for all
The shows, this
World knows....

For if you are
My poetry, I'm
Your prose....
In our thoughts
And feelings, in
Our highs and lows

Amongst the many
You I chose, for in
You I find my love
And repose, when
In your arms, me
You enclose, I feel
Safe from life's throes

Politics

What does
A terminally
Ill patient
Make of
Brexit
When
He's
Planning
To make
His final
Exit?

How does
Brexit matter
To him when
It's no longer
Relevant to
Him?

Brexit
Happens or not
He has to go,
For him
Time will not
Slow....

Sports
Politics
News and
Views....
They don't
Matter much

What matters to
Him the most -
How death will
Take him - will
It be a groping
Hand or a
Gentle touch?

G+ is going away on 2nd April, 2019

Today I received an email regarding this news and it did make me feel sad as I'll be missing G+

I used it regularly because its Feeds helped me to update my Blog.

https://plusfeed.frosas.net/117466581567846877904

If you scroll down this page, you'll see G+ RSS and if you look above, it is also one of my pages on top of my Blog.

Anyway, all good things come to an end.

Perhaps Google knows there are not many users of G+ and so it is shutting it down.

I'll miss G+ and will always cherish the nice memories of reading, writing and sharing it gave me :-)

I still love Google. Hope it comes up with something new. I admire its creativity. Kudos to its team.

So those of you who are still hanging on to G+ like me, please remember to save your photos and files before they get discarded by Google.

Regards
Aparna
