I wrote this after reading this article on menopause which enlists 34 symptoms. The menopausal transition (perimenopause) can last up to 14 years and I was wondering what our mothers, grandmothers and our great-grandmothers went thru....silently bearing all these health issues and also coping with familial and ageing issues, and being 48 now, I can foresee what lies ahead of me and it really doesn't motivate me to live thru all this....not that I'm suicidal but somehow life has lost its charm for me.
