Last Time

Last time when my son asked me: Mummy, how was my show?

I said it was OK. I liked the way he spoke but the songs were slow making me drowsy.

My son keeps insisting that I listen to his 2-hour radio show that he does every week.

As the time slot is in the night, 8-10 pm, not always I'm able to lend my ears as I'm busy making dinner, setting up the beds or winding up pending tasks for the day.

But my son values my opinions and always asks my views.

So I said that he can begin the programme with some nice, peppy numbers to keep it buoyant and energetic and as he winds up his show, he can slow down to some soft, lilting numbers towards the end.

This time when he asked me to tune in, not only were the songs really nice, they were all hits, and as I kept listening, I discovered that most of them were from my English playlist :-)

When he came home, I asked him if he had peeped into my playlist before he went.

He said: Yes.

Cheeky fellow :-) No wonder, I enjoyed his programme so much as he played some of my favourite songs.

God Bless Him. Because of him, I could end my day with some nice memories wrapped up in a pleasant surprise :-)

That's my blogging for now.

Leaving you with a nice, naughty song.

Enjoy :)

6th July

Today is the
50th wedding
Anniversary of
My parents

They've spent
50 years together

Long back
When they wedded
Each other, had
A love marriage
Did they know
They were
Always meant to
Be together?! :-)

God bless them
On this golden
Anniversary
And may they have
Many more years
Together :-)

Sonali

The golden girl of Bollywood - Sonali Bendre is afflicted with high-grade metastatic cancer and is now undergoing treatment in New York.

My thoughts are with her and her family - her husband Goldie (her name and her husband's name mean the same) and their son Ranveer who's going to be 13 this August.

Sonali has charmed us all with her good looks that shine like gold, good acting ability and dancing skills.

She's given us some very good movies and some very nice songs have been picturised on her and her co-stars.

I've made a playlist on her so that you can see how talented she is and we'll all miss her if she doesn't recover.

Hope she gets well soon and comes back to us and we get to see her in many more glamorous roles.

Wish her speedy recovery. She's just 43 and I want her to live long and healthy, esp. thinking about her very young son who's just stepping into his teens.

My prayers and good wishes are with her. May God save her.

What A Song :-)

Sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, Lyrics by Sameer, Music by Himesh Reshammiya

It's one of my all-time favourite duets. A superb creation - thanks to the superb efforts of Udit, Alka, Sameer and Himesh. Kudos to their creative teamwork.

This song just floated in my mind while I was soaking up the sun in my leafy backyard full of trees and soothing breeze, birds chirping and the sun smiling :-)

Enjoying the British summer....

What more to write except that I'm loving the warm weather till it lasts....Loving every bit of it, and when I'm in love and feeling happy, such nice songs come to me.

So here it is for you.

Hope you savour it too. Time and weather permitting :-) I'll bring you some more. Soon Boloji will become BoloRadio :-)

LOL :D

Reminds me of my good old days when I used to be a radio presenter in AIR (All India Radio) and did some English and Hindi shows for Yuv-Vani channel.

As they say, history repeats itself....

My son is now a RJ in our local radio station and he's loving every bit of it :-)

I'm glad he's loving it :-) and I hope he continues entertaining the masses.

I like the way he RJs but I wish some Hindi songs were played as it's all English music here.

That's all for now. The sun is calling me and so I better be going....
