Nice, Warm Song

Makes me smile and cry....

It's so nostalgic, affectionate and so full of feeling....

It's written and sung by Kailash Kher and music has been given by him, Naresh and Paresh.

The movie led me to the song 'Mumma' which is my favourite song in the movie.

Here's the link for you to click and enjoy the song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkBOcNqyb7E

And if you want to watch the film, it is in this playlist.

The film's name is Dasvidaniya. The ace actor Vinay Pathak plays the lead role and is also one of its co-producers.

The other actors are Gaurav Gera, Rajat Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Sarita Joshi, Saurabh Shukla, Suchitra Pillai and Purbi Joshi.

Have a scintillating Sunday enjoying this comedy movie :-)

What A Song :-)

Sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, Lyrics by Sameer, Music by Himesh Reshammiya

It's one of my all-time favourite duets. A superb creation - thanks to the superb efforts of Udit, Alka, Sameer and Himesh. Kudos to their creative teamwork.

This song just floated in my mind while I was soaking up the sun in my leafy backyard full of trees and soothing breeze, birds chirping and the sun smiling :-)

Enjoying the British summer....

What more to write except that I'm loving the warm weather till it lasts....Loving every bit of it, and when I'm in love and feeling happy, such nice songs come to me.

So here it is for you.

Hope you savour it too. Time and weather permitting :-) I'll bring you some more. Soon Boloji will become BoloRadio :-)

LOL :D

Reminds me of my good old days when I used to be a radio presenter in AIR (All India Radio) and did some English and Hindi shows for Yuv-Vani channel.

As they say, history repeats itself....

My son is now a RJ in our local radio station and he's loving every bit of it :-)

I'm glad he's loving it :-) and I hope he continues entertaining the masses.

I like the way he RJs but I wish some Hindi songs were played as it's all English music here.

That's all for now. The sun is calling me and so I better be going....

Chanda (Moon)

Chanda Dekhe Chanda - beautiful song - how can I not share this with you? :-)

Enjoy this dulcet duet by Lata and Kishore. Those were the days of nice, simple movies....

Nostalgia beckons. I love the visuals of this song.

Rekha, Raj Babbar, Amol Palekar, Supriya Pathak, Deven Verma and Prema Narayan - they all look good.

I would have liked this song to be lipsynched by Amol Palekar as Kishore's voice suits him more.

I think Raj Babbar is more suited to Rafi's voice. That is my view. Yours may differ.

Let me now leave you with this song and see if you enjoy and if you do, then

Happy Humming :-)

Love,
Aparna

Wishing you all....

a lovely weekend with this lovely song coming your way :-)

Hope you like it as much as I do or perhaps more than I do.

Beautiful lyrics by Gulzar, wonderful music by R.D. Burman and superb rendition by Kishore and Asha

It's from the movie Ratnadeep (1979)

It's one of my all-time favourite songs and it's so soothing that it comes naturally to me and I keep humming, feeling at peace with myself.

Music knows no barriers and sometimes I don't even remember the lyrics but the music is so sweet and lilting that it has a healing effect on me.

All the stresses of life wash away....being washed by a musical waterfall :-)

Sometimes I think my mind is like the Vividh Bharati Sewa of All India Radio because I wake up with some music in my mind; while I'm working, music comes to me, and while I'm dozing off at night, music lullabies me. So many songs keep flooding my mind, one after the other, it's like a non-stop jukebox, but some songs like this one....Kabhi Kabhi Sapna Lagta Hai....keeps repeating itself like a harmonious tune that is so very calming, pleasing....and relaxing.

So here's the song

Hope you enjoy :-)

Happy Listening :)

Love,
Aparna

Very Sweet Song :-)

Came across this song while doing one of my playlists and it's such a sugary-sweet song that I can't stop humming it :-)

It's from Anand Aur Anand (1984), Lyrics by Anjaan, Music by R.D. Burman and sung by my beloved Kishore :-)

Smita Patil looks nice in this song though Dev Anand seems to have lost his debonair looks.

However, both of them, stalwarts as they were in the world of movies, played their part well.

Viewing this song makes you go down memory lane....when they existed.

Now they are no more, their memories remain with us and nice visuals such as these songs.

So hope you enjoy this nice song - and if you do, let's thank the creativity of all these people who've left us with such a beautiful legacy - the makers of this product - Anjaan, R.D. Burman, Kishore, Dev Anand and Smita Patil - good teamwork, I must say. Needs a lot of compatibility :-)

Love This Song :-)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhRcWwPrWLg

A cute duet sung by Mohit Chauhan and Alisha Chinai

Came across this song while making another playlist for you.

It's got some magical melodies by the musician Rajesh Roshan who's the uncle of the famous Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAP2Wr4O1Jak2CyGZKRIs_tWPgyiOeVli

Leaving you today with these beautiful songs which will take you down memory lane....as Rajesh Roshan has been composing music since the 1970s

But before I go, let me also give you a nice movie suggestion - the one that we enjoyed watching last Sunday.

It's the British-American comedy film About a Boy (2002). We've always known Hugh Grant (playing Will Freeman in this movie) to be a brilliant actor and so as expected, he played his part very well but what amazed us was the role of a 12 year old boy played by Nicholas Hoult. He was simply superb !!! Such a natural talent at such a young age - amazing !!!

And as always, let me bid you goodbye with some nice quotes that I've selected from my newspaper NPPQ

Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all. - Sam Ewing

This is your road. Some people may walk it with you, but no one will walk it for you. - Ameer Mohammed Ismail

Love, the quest; marriage, the conquest; divorce, the inquest. - Helen Rowland

Some people ask the secret of our long marriage. We take time to go to a restaurant two times a week. A little candlelight, dinner, soft music and dancing. She goes Tuesdays, I go Fridays. - Henny Youngman

A man's heart may have a secret sanctuary where only one woman may enter, but it is full of little anterooms which are seldom vacant. - Helen Rowland

People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily. - Zig Ziglar

When a man spends his time giving his wife criticism and advice instead of compliments, he forgets that it was not his good judgment, but his charming manners, that won her heart. - Helen Rowland

If you are really thankful, what do you do? You share. - W. Clement Stone

That's all my sharing for now,

Preity and Ness

A lot is
Brewing
Between
Preity and
Ness, that's
Landed them
In some kind
Of mess that's
Causing them
A lot of distress
To top it all, they
Are being hounded
By the pesky Press.

I wish them well
And I hope they
Can soon clean up
This mess and
Again climb up the
Ladder of success.

Reviving some romantic memories of this talented actress, here are some melodious Preity Zinta songs you can enjoy :-)

Request

You've
Rested
For a
Long time
In heaven

Now, please
Come down
And make us
Feel in heaven
With your
Heavenly
Voice...

That is
Listener's
Choice -
For without
You, fans like
Me have simply
No choice

So please come down
And make us rejoice :)
With your heavenly voice
