Poesy

Thought of
Dedicating
A poesy to
You....

You are so
Sweet, how
Could I not
Write about
You....

You are the
Sweetest
Mother-in-law
On Earth

Often I wish
You were my
Mother who
Brought me
To this earth

Seeing your
Love for your
Son and daughter
Inspires me....

The immense
Patience and
Tolerance you
Have in loving
Them, impresses
Me....

You are such a
Simple lady, albeit
A bit superstitious
And somewhat
Orthodox, but very
Religious....

Your unshakable faith
In God, amazes me....

Now that you are
Old and infirm, it
Worries me, for I
Love having you
In my life, you are
The 'Ma' I would
Always want to
Have with me....

Thanks

The water
Is running
I'm thankful

The toilet
Is flushing
I'm thankful

The heating
Is working
I'm thankful

Those bulbs
Are beaming
I'm so thankful

The sun is
Not shining
I'm still thankful
For it will shine
Some other day
Like it has on
Many a day....

I'm breathing
I'm seeing
I'm walking
I'm sitting....
I'm thinking
I'm feeling
For all these
Faculties
I'm so thankful

The taps,
The showers
The oven,
The grill
The hob for
Cooking
For all these
Facilities
I'm so thankful

I'm thankful
To those
Great inventors
Who worked
Tirelessly to
Make our lives
Easy....
And also to
Those utility
Companies
That work
Tirelessly
To keep us
Cosy....

I'm also thankful
To the greatest
Creator - God
Almighty for
Putting his science
Into my body
Through which
I can see,
Hear, taste
And feel
The wonders
Of this wonderful
World with all my
Senses, the aura
Of which sometimes
Makes me lose my
Senses....

The beautiful sea
The beautiful hills
The lakes, rivers
Mountains and valleys
The endless discoveries
Of this magical world
That makes me feel
Thankful and grateful
To be a part of this
Beautiful world....

Love

Just as
The moon
Reflects
The sun's
Light, I also
Bask in your
Love's light

You are my
Moonlight
You are my
Sunlight
You are my
Ethereal
Twilight

In the sky
Of my dreams
You are my
Soothing
Starlight

In my life's
Nights, you
Are my rising
Daylight

You are my
Day's highlight
Filling me with
Celestial delight
Like a satellite

Come rain
Or storm
I don't worry....
'Cause you are
My floodlight

Always beside me
Always supporting me
And if I ever get lost
And can't find myself
You become my
Searchlight

In my life's stage
You are my
Spotlight, making
Me see the limelight

In my heart's home
You are my skylight
Lighting my home
Like a tube light,
Even when power
Fails, you become
My candle-light....

Always changing
Always adapting
Protecting me
With all your
Safeguarding

Away from home,
If I ever spot danger
You become my
Stoplight, shielding
Me from the blight

All in all,
If I'm the
Darkness
You are my
Light
In every form
In every hue
Be it the guiding
Streetlight,
The flashing
Flashlight
Or the bright
Footlight that
Shows me the way
In every stage of life

Kieran Lai

Just watch him dance :-)

He was one of my favourite contestants in TGD as he was dancing to one of my favourite songs by Ed Sheeran.

I love the song and I loved his dance.

Hope you love it too.

Happy Viewing :-)

Cheers

Thinking

Thinking of gifting something to your young ones ?!

How about these books?

2 of these I bought for my teens.

They enjoyed it :-)

1 my son got from the local library.

He loved it :-)

All these books have interesting snippets, quotes, anecdotes, advice, suggestions, guidelines and sharing of some personal stories by the authors themselves from the trials and tribulations of their lives - how they overcame obstacles to be where they are now :-)

The Habit of Winning by Prakash Iyer

I bought this from Book Depository which gives free worldwide delivery.

Who will Cry when you Die? by Robin Sharma

I bought this from Amazon. Don't get misled by the morbid title. It's actually a very nice book and my son said it's the best book he's ever read.

He'll be 19 this month and I'm sure he'll come across many good books in his lifetime and probably some would be better than this one he's read but I'm happy to know that he's liked this book.

Both these books I bought as Christmas and New Year gifts for my children.

My son got so inspired after reading these 2 books, he went and got another one issued from our local library and this book was also intriguing and very interesting :-)

The Answer by Allan & Barbara Pease

So if you are thinking of getting something for your young ones esp. if they are teens like my son and daughter who are 18 and 14, I would suggest, go for these books and see if they enjoy reading and give you those "got inspired" looks ;-)

Cheers
Aparna

Two

Two
Duvets
And
Two
Pillows
Fail to
Keep me
Warm

You know
Where I
Want to be?

Inside the
Warmth
Of your
Cosy body

Family

My family
Is all here
In one piece,
All in peace...

What more
Do I need
This new
Year?

May we
All be
Together
In one piece,
All in peace...

So here's
Wishing us all
And wishing
You all...
A very happy
And fulfilling
New Year :-)

Family is the smallest social unit of a society. It is the building block of society. Broken families lead to broken societies. May we all have strong familial bonds :-)
