Very Sweet Song :-)

Came across this song while doing one of my playlists and it's such a sugary-sweet song that I can't stop humming it :-)

It's from Anand Aur Anand (1984), Lyrics by Anjaan, Music by R.D. Burman and sung by my beloved Kishore :-)

Smita Patil looks nice in this song though Dev Anand seems to have lost his debonair looks.

However, both of them, stalwarts as they were in the world of movies, played their part well.

Viewing this song makes you go down memory lane....when they existed.

Now they are no more, their memories remain with us and nice visuals such as these songs.

So hope you enjoy this nice song - and if you do, let's thank the creativity of all these people who've left us with such a beautiful legacy - the makers of this product - Anjaan, R.D. Burman, Kishore, Dev Anand and Smita Patil - good teamwork, I must say. Needs a lot of compatibility :-)

And now before I take leave of you, here are some Quotes, old and new, for you :-)

Enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing through the facade of pretense. It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true. - Adyashanti

We’ve all heard the saying, stop and smell the roses. But it would be far better to be the gardener who grows the roses and lives with them constantly. - Deepak Chopra

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. - William Arthur Ward

We relish news of our heroes, forgetting that we are extraordinary to somebody too. - Helen Hayes

What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals. - Johann Wolfang von Goethe

Having to grieve. Some people think there is a time limit or a timeframe. It could take a lifetime to accept someone we love passing away. - Lisa Marie

In animals, it’s not separating a monkey from any companion, it’s separating them from a preferred companion. When we do that, we see the same effects in those monkeys that we see in humans; they feel lonely. - Dr. John Cacioppo

The sweetest of all sounds is praise. - Xenophon

I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end. - Margaret Thatcher

Ease

So, are you
At ease...
Or are you
Ill-at-ease,
Having left
This world,
If you could
Tell me, please?
:-)

Ram Navami

On the auspicious
Occasion of Ram Navami
Please don't squander
Your time, praying for me
Do something else
Instead of focussing
On me.

I'm one of those
"Fit and Forget"
Products of God
That He has somehow
Fitted into this world -
But now, however much
You try to remind Him of
Me, He doesn't seem to
Remember me ;-)

I wish all my readers - Happy Ram Navami :-)

Miss

Do I give
Your programs
A miss?

No, Chris

You are so
Good :-)
That I wrote
This poesy
On you :-)

Do read
This :-)

Don't give it
A miss ;-)

Well, even if
You do, wouldn't
Matter to me,
But if you aren't
On TV, you I'll miss

(dedicated to Chris Packham and his wildlife documentaries)

10/10

10 out of 10
You get from me
My dear Ben
For showing
Such nice
Documentaries
To me, my dear
Ben

Your amazing
Series on
New Lives in the Wild
Is vibrant with colours
Bursting with flavours
From spicy to mild.

It's so breathtakingly
Beautiful and so
Awe-inspiring to me
That I sit there mesmerized
Glued to the TV and lap it all up
Like a gob-smacked child.

(dedicated to Ben Fogle)

He

He brings
A smile
To my
Face
Whenever
On TV
I see his
Face

Traversing
The world
He shows us
The wonders
Of various
Cultures and
The kind of
Future they face

(dedicated to Simon Reeve, I love his awe-inspiring documentaries)
